A few months back, our dear friends Karen and Joe came to Texas to spend a few days with us. We had so much fun, taking them around Houston and trying to convince them to move here.
It almost worked!
Well, one night, we all decided we didn’t want to cook and had a wine and appetizer party. Olives, these pear slices with smoked gouda and prosciutto, fresh figs drizzled with honey and walnuts, dark chocolate, cabernet sauvignon, and a few other things that didn’t require cooking or effort – just minimal assembly, and more time to sit, talk, and laugh. I’m not listing much in terms of instructions – it’s pretty much self-explanatory.
Pear Slices with Smoke Gouda & Prosciutto
serves however many you make! I would allot 3 pieces per person though
Pear slices
Thin slices of smoked gouda
Slices of prosciutto – cut each slice in half, lengthwise, if you like
Wrap a slice of prosciutto around a slice of gouda and pear. That’s it – now eat up!
